Distance learning: This is when a learner is enrolled on a course that is delivered online and is accessed from outside of the college. Sometimes distance learners may even be in another country.
For example: A MOOC is a form of distance learning as there is no physical place/building in which the course is delivered so the course can be completed by a learner almost anywhere at any time.
