In August 2012 the College won a LSIS bid under the strand of Leadership in Technology (LIT) with the aim of transforming teaching and learning environments in the Motor Vehicle area using iPads.
Learner feedback identified a need to increase agility and flexibility of teaching methods within this area as it was helping to bridge the gap being learning in classroom based theory sessions and practical sessions in the workshop. To avoid them running in parallel the ideal situation was to make the transition between the two environments more seamless, helping to bring practical into the classroom and theory into the workshop.
There are a range of staff involved in the project including the Learning Technology team and the Motor Vehicle teaching staff and the blog will be updated with the progress made.
