LearnZone updates for 23/24
Just before the summer break we successfully rolled over to a new version of LearnZone. It may seem just as it did before, however, there are a couple of little changes and things you need to remember.
Find out more in our blog post.
Artificial Intelligence (AI)
During CPD Week in July, we ran two sessions to provide guidance to encourage staff to embrace AI into their working practice and policy to ensure we meet the college’s responsibilities to staff and learners.
The recordings of these sessions and the new policy can be found in our blog post. Contact Dan Vaughan with any concerns regarding AI misconduct or guidance.
Teams Rollover
At the start of each academic year, lecturers are responsible for managing their Microsoft Teams sites. Staff should archive all of the Teams sites used for teaching in 2022/23 with the exception of courses continuing in 2023/24 that include the same students.

Top Tips & Resources
Student Helpdesk
As we head into the new academic year it is worth remembering the Student Helpdesk, a fantastic first point of call for students looking for information, support, and guidance to help them on their leaner journey.
During induction week, showcase the Helpdesk to your learners and prompt them to check this first if they need help and support.
What’s Happening
CPD Week and Conference
Just before the break we were busy putting on CPD sessions and live streaming what was a fantastic CPD Week and Conference full of engaging talks, and hands-on sessions. If you didn’t make it to the conference or just want to rewatch, you can catch up over on our blog.
VR in education
During CPD week we also ran two much-praised VR sessions.
If you or your team are interested in how VR could be beneficial to teaching and learning or know of an app you want to try with your groups don’t hesitate to get in contact, we can investigate the app and set up a practice session with teachers.
Help and Support
As always contact the Digital Learning Team for more information, guidance, and support.
