This prompt is for students to use, you should promote it with your learners. They can use this prompt to help them get started on a new topic for an assignment or classwork. The two prompts below are a great way of identifying the key underlying topics/concepts of an overarching theme to get a better understanding.
We build our prompts using the PREPARE framework as a guide. To use the prompt below replace the text in [bold] with information relevant to you. Once happy, copy and paste it into Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar.

Prompt One:
You are an expert in the subject of [enter the subject]. I am a [Level and Course] student studying the [insert unit/module]. Please explain to me the core concepts of [insert topic/subject] in simple terms.
Please use British English, it’s important to me that this is accurate, thank you.
Prompt 2: The second prompt is a useful follow-up to build on existing knowledge from the previous response and to dig a little deeper into the theme.
Building on your last response please explore additional topics. Please provide a table of topics, their similarities and differences and explain how they relate to the previous topics and to each other in simple terms.
Ask it to explain any element of the response you do not understand to help clarify the answer.
