The eLearning team support staff engaging with different technologies and projects. In order to share the work our tutors do, we have created a number of case studies [which you can see here] to show the project, process and the impact it has had on students and learning. We have worked closely with staff to create a case study that is detailed enough to share the work efficiently, without creating too much reading. If you have been inspired by any of these projects or want to discuss any other technologies and how they could impact positively on your students – come and talk to us. We are in L117 and always happy to make you a coffee while we explore how we can help you and your students or eamil us on elearning@loucoll.ac.uk and we will come to you.

LearnZone QR Codes with Colin Power
Colin Power is part of the preparation for work department. Technology is a large part of his sessions and he is always looking for new ways to use it in his teaching.
QR codes are a matrix barcode that can be scanned using a smartphone or other smart device with a camera. They were originally designed to be used in factories and have since been brought into many other areas such as marketing and education. Once they have been scanned the user is then taken to another area, usually a webpage which will display more relevant information.
You can find the full case study for Colin Power with QR Codes here.
