Bodyswaps modules and pathways are now available for students to complete either synchronously or asynchronously, as part of core classroom activity or as stretch-and-challenge tasks inside or outside the classroom.
Previously, Bodyswaps was only accessible to students through timetabled VR sessions. However, the Desktop app is now available on College PCs and laptops. This means teachers can assign modules and pathways for students to complete flexibly, whether in class or independently.
What is Bodyswaps?
Bodyswaps is an immersive learning platform that uses virtual reality (VR) and artificial intelligence (AI) to help users develop soft skills like communication and interpersonal skills in a safe, interactive environment. By placing learners in realistic scenarios, such as interviews, presentations, or difficult conversations, Bodyswaps allows them to practise, reflect, and improve their performance through experiential learning.

Access
Bodyswaps can be accessed on VR (Meta Quest), Mobile (Android/iOS), and Desktop (Windows/macOS)
On college PCs and laptops, Bodyswaps can be installed via the Software Center. Simply search for “Software Center” in the taskbar, then select Bodyswaps from the list of available applications. The app will download and install automatically.
Teachers can contact the Digital Learning team to request specific modules or learning pathways for their students.
How it works:
- The Digital Learning team creates a class in Bodyswaps
- Selected modules or pathways are assigned to the class
- A self-enrolment link is provided to the teacher to share with their students
- Students use the link to join the class and generate an access code when needed
- Students can then use the code to access and complete the assigned content through the app
We can also provide insights into student completion by giving the teachers access to the Bodyswaps admin portal, allowing them to monitor their class.
