Thursday 15th May is Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD), which aims to promote the idea that everyone, regardless of their physical, sensory, or cognitive abilities, should have equal access to technology and digital content.

We are here to help promote, educate and get you up to speed on everything you need to know about accessibility. Our latest blog post covers the key principles of GAAD and offers tools you can use to make your digital content more accessible.

Exam Skills

As we enter exam season, we encourage you to share our revision resources and fully licensed AI-enabled tools with your students for more efficient and less stressful exam preparation.

With the help of digital tools, your students can:

  • Create flashcards directly from their notes, lesson materials, and prompts using Quizizz or Quizlet.
  • Explore existing revision quizzes from the Quizizz vast library.
  • Create mind maps and brainstorming spaces in Wooclap or Padlet.
  • Use Copilot, ChatGPT, or Claude to generate exam questions, revision timetables, as well as feedback, example solutions, and more.

We have collated these features and tips, combined with videos and interactive presentation resources on LearnZone in the Exam Skills course. You can also find advice on how to plan revision, exam preparation techniques, exam writing, and dealing with stress.

Alongside these, within the Study Skills section of the PPD, there are other brilliant courses including Reading skills and Writing Skills – both invaluable for exams and coursework.

Invigilator Training

Make sure you have completed the mandatory Exams invigilation training on StaffZone. This will help you to prepare and understand a variety of additional support requirements that students may need.

If you have any further questions, please contact the Exams Team.
