Glossary #16 – Self-paced learning

Self-paced learning refers to the type of instruction that allows a person to control the flow of the course. It implies the learning environment is asynchronous.

Self-paced learning may occur when students complete work, both off and online, outside of the structure of the classroom at a time that is convenient for them, eg; a student may wish to complete a Learnzone quiz after EastEnders has finished!
