Immersive Reader can improve reading skills and comprehension through the use of the Read Aloud function and grammar options to adjustable reading and text preferences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Immersive Reader has 3 main menus – Text Options \/ Grammar Options \/ Reading Preferences <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It also has a voice settings<\/strong> feature to allow you to hear the text.

VOICE OPTIONS<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
\n

Select Play <\/strong>at the bottom of the window to hear your document read aloud and to see the text highlighted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Select Pause <\/strong>to stop narration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Select Voice Options on the top right of the document to change the speed <\/strong>of narration.<\/p>\n<\/div>

TEXT OPTIONS<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

In Immersive Reader, go to the Reading Preferences pane,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can increase or decrease text size<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can increase the amount of spacing between letters and words.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can change the font <\/strong>of the whole document.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Theme colour you select becomes the background colour <\/strong>of the document.<\/p>\n<\/div>

GRAMMAR PREFERENCES<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
\n

You can select one or more of the following options to show:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Syllables <\/strong>to break words into syllables.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nouns <\/strong>to highlight nouns in your document in purple.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Verbs <\/strong>to highlight verbs in your document in red.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adjectives <\/strong>to highlight adjectives in your document in green.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adverbs <\/strong>to highlight adjectives in your document in gold.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Line Focus <\/strong>enables you to narrow the focus by
highlighting sets of one, three, or five lines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Picture Dictionary <\/strong>gives you the ability to click on any single word and have it read aloud.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Translate <\/strong>gives you the option to change the
language of the text.<\/p>\n<\/div>
