During this time, staff and students will not be able to access LearnZone, so please plan accordingly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"background-color:#fff3cd;border-left:6px solid #ffb300;padding:15px 20px;margin:20px 0;border-radius:4px;font-family:'Open Sans', Arial, sans-serif;font-size:18px;color:#333333\">\n    <strong>\u26a0\ufe0f Important:<\/strong>\n    <p style=\"margin:10px 0 0 0;font-family:'Open Sans', Arial, sans-serif;font-size:16px;color:#333333\">\n        After rollover this year, <strong>HE LearnZone<\/strong> staff preparing for the <strong>2026\/27 academic year<\/strong> will be able to edit the new course pages immediately.\n        Courses that continue past rollover (for example, during the summer) will now need to be accessed from the\n        <strong>25\/26 Courses<\/strong> (tile) category.\n    <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Next Steps<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Following rollover, you will need to update course pages for the new academic year. However, both staff and students will retain <strong>read-only access<\/strong> to submissions from the <strong>2025\/26 academic year<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Please continue to check that all <strong>resources meet accessibility legislation<\/strong>. If a document is not accessible, it should be hidden until it has been reviewed or removed from the site. After this period, <a href=\"https:\/\/staffzone.loucoll.ac.uk\/mod\/page\/view.php?id=13131\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">enrolments must be managed manually by staff<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:5px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\" id=\"microsoft-teams\"><strong>Microsoft Teams<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignleft size-full is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.loucoll.ac.uk\/learningtechnology\/files\/2025\/12\/Teams-Icon-new-wider.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"180\" height=\"150\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.loucoll.ac.uk\/learningtechnology\/files\/2025\/12\/Teams-Icon-new-wider.png\" alt=\"Teams Icon\" class=\"wp-image-11010\" style=\"width:110px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>During rollover, <strong>all<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>Teams<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>sites<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>used<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>for<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>teaching<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>will<\/strong> <strong>be<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>automatically archived<\/strong>.&nbsp;This ensures students are not accessing Teams sites unsupervised, while preserving the Team and any Turnitin submissions for future reference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Staff and students will still be able to access archived Teams from \u201c<strong>Your Teams and Channels<\/strong>\u201d&nbsp;in <strong>read-only mode<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is important to note that <strong>Microsoft Teams will remain live and accessible during this time<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Next Steps<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Following rollover, you will need to <strong>create new Teams sites for the upcoming academic year<\/strong>. Teams will be set up automatically based on the information provided. Please allow a few minutes for the Team to be created.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>New Turnitin assignments must be created<\/strong>. However, both staff and students will retain <strong>read-only access<\/strong> to submissions from the <strong>2025\/26 academic year<\/strong> within archived Teams.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Copy resources<\/strong> from archived Teams to your new Team sites by adding a new module to Classwork and selecting <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/staffzone.loucoll.ac.uk\/mod\/page\/view.php?id=13241\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Reuse from existing<\/a>.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Please continue to check that all <strong>resources meet accessibility legislation<\/strong>. If a document is not accessible, it should not be uploaded or shared through Teams.
