As the academic year draws to a close, we just wanted to take a moment to say thank you and well done to everyone. It\u2019s been another full-on year, and through it all, we\u2019ve supported each other, adapted, and kept things moving forward. Digital Highlights<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

This year has seen some fantastic digital successes across the college – from new ways of working to creative approaches in teaching and learning. Here\u2019s a quick look at what you have achieved:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wooclap<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n

\"Wooclap<\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

Wooclap has been a great way to bring sessions to life this year, helping you make learning more interactive and responsive. Easy to use and packed with features, fantastic for sparking participation, whether in the classroom or online.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year, you have created 1440 events<\/strong>, containing 7173 questions <\/strong>in total. With the average of more than 1300 students each month<\/strong>, you have collected a staggering amount of 61,742 answers <\/strong>from your learners!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wayground <\/strong>(formerly Quizizz)<\/h5>\n\n\n

\"Wayground<\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

Quizizz, now rebranded as Wayground<\/strong>, has continued to be a fun and flexible way to bring quizzes and activities into lessons. Whether running them live or letting students work through at their own pace, it\u2019s made checking understanding more engaging – with all the same great features, just under a new name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year, 290 staff members<\/strong> embraced Wayground, creating an impressive 1218 quizzes and lessons<\/strong>, with learners answering 809,401 questions in class<\/strong> and 200,416 at home<\/strong>. Our top user led the way with 133 sessions<\/strong>, showing just how well the platform has been used across the college.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Edpuzzle<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n

\"edpuzzle<\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

Edpuzzle has changed how we use video in lessons, allowing staff to add questions, notes, and pauses to check understanding. It works with YouTube, teacher-made videos, and screen recordings, while offering clear insights into student progress. Easy to use and self-paced, it\u2019s a great way to keep learners engaged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

91 teachers <\/strong>across the organisation used Edpuzzle to create 588 interactive videos <\/strong>for their students, who spent over 1844 hours<\/strong> in total engaging with the content and answering a total number of 25,036 questions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

VR and Immersive Experiences<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

This year, virtual reality has opened up new worlds for exploration, helping students build skills and confidence in a whole new way. Alongside this, immersive experiences have brought learning to life through hands-on challenges and engaging scenarios.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year, over 400 students and staff<\/strong> took part in more than 50 VR sessions<\/strong>, exploring everything from human anatomy to workplace communication. Using tools like 3D Organon<\/strong>, learners engaged with the human body in detailed 3D, while Bodyswaps<\/strong> offered immersive soft skills training – including interview practice, active listening, clear communication, and more. Other sessions opened up virtual travel experiences, allowing learners to explore new environments and perspectives in a truly engaging way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Immersive Experiences <\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n

\"Halth<\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

This year, two immersive experiences brought teamwork and problem-solving to the forefront:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Halt the Hackers<\/strong> ran over two sessions, challenging students to crack cyber security puzzles, developing their digital skills, collaboration, and awareness of online threats. <\/p>\n\n\n

\"Enigma<\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

Meanwhile, Enigma<\/strong> – an interactive escape room-style session, set against the backdrop of Bletchley Park\u2019s codebreaking history, engaged three classes over six sessions in hands-on activities that blended digital tools with Maths, English, communication, and critical thinking. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both experiences proved to be dynamic ways to embed essential skills through active learning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
