Adobe Spark Video – (Formerly Adobe Voice)

Description

Adobe Spark (Formerly Adobe Voice) allows you create video presentations with voice over. The information on the slide is supposed to be minimal and the voice tells the whole story, images and text are for key information or cues for what you are going to say.

Impact On Learners

I have recently started using Adobe Spark with my students as they often have to give presentations or ‘elevator pitches’ in class. My key reason for students using the app is simply because it is much more likely that they will use something like this when they begin work, rather than standing in front of a piece of flip-chart paper. When i first used it in a class, the students were hooked straight away, and they could easily navigate through the app and create good looking presentations, with little instruction. They now ask me every lesson now if we can use it again! – Victoria Harris

The eLearning Rating

The eLearning team really liked this app. We see it as a good alternative to simply creating PowerPoints, especially ones that students just submit and never actually present. The ease of use makes the app quick to understand and actually fun to use, and the fact that all the images, music and layouts are built in, ensures that the end product is of a high standard. The only reason we had to knock off a star for this app was because it is only available on IOS (Apple) products. Hopefully soon we will see it on other devices.
