NEW! Engineering Qualifications starting this September

    September 1st, 2012

    Graduate Engineering

Loughborough College, in partnership with the University of Derby, is launching two new qualifications this September – a Foundation Degree in Engineering and a BSc degree in Engineering.

These are general engineering qualifications with specialist pathways in mechanical and electrical engineering, aimed at people employed in the industry who are seeking to gain relevant qualifications to further their careers or gain promotion.

The Foundation Degree will allow students in engineering employment to achieve the qualification (equivalent to a HND) in two years, by attending two evenings per week. In future years, the Foundation Degree will also be offered in the daytimes. Currently, employed students who can attend in the daytime can study for HNC and HND in mechanical or electrical engineering.

The new BSc allows students with a HND or Foundation Degree to top-up to full Bachelors’ Degree in under two years, either one day per week or two evenings.

There are still places available on all Engineering Higher Education programmes at the College. All part-time courses cost £2500 per year.
